I would follow what the dermatolgist said, just in case! Always be safe and what they say usually ends up in better results!
Good Luck!My skin care told me to use only one brand. Is it ok if i use a different brand for just the clay mask?
If your dermatologist told you to use a certain product, then follow his or her directions.
If a non-dermatologist told you you would have the greatest success using only one type of product, go ahead and use whatever you like. The reality is that while ';sets'; of products are good at working together, sometimes one of the products just isn't right for a person. A company has a vested interest in you only using their products, so they are going to tell you that you must use only one brand. It's baloney, and just a way to get all of your money going to one company. Feel free to experiment with and use anything you find useful.
All together, I have a skin care regimen that works really well for me, and it incorporates product from approximately six different companies and brands. I have tried using all one product line, and it has never worked for me, so I just pick and choose what does work, and ignore the rest.
