What is the fi02 on 2liters oxygen for a trach mask?

my 5 month old daughter is on a home set up that i feel is not providing the amount of humidfication needed for her thick secretionsWhat is the fi02 on 2liters oxygen for a trach mask?
The FIO2 is 28%. The home set up... does it have a water canister to provide humidification? If it does, make sure that there is adequate water in there. If the water level is too low, the humidity output can be low. If there is enough water, check the tubing to make sure that there is not a leak in it. If all of that checks out ok. Hold the trach mask up to a light and see if you can see any mist coming out of it. 2 liters of flow is pretty low so you may not see much mist coming out, but as long as you see something coming out then that should be ok.What is the fi02 on 2liters oxygen for a trach mask?
No oxygen should be directed at a patients tracheotomy unhumidified,

If they want her on low concentration oxygen it'd be simple to either hook up a humidifier. Or have a low out put nebulizer with a bleed in valve. Someone was lazy or just wasn't thinking. Any trach needs plenty of humidity.Call the DME who supplied it and if they won't make it right get another DME who will. There a lots of DME's around. I'm sorry, DME (Durable Medical Equipment supplier). And please make sure they have a competent Respiratory Therapist set it up.
