Or maybe it's out of courtesy to those he stands in front of and commences to shower them in saliva, I'm not exactly sure.
Really what has he got? he doesn't have some special symbol or unique characteristic. I think WWE just decided to go with something that looked cool, a gas mask is generally depicted as a scary or dark thing, and applying it to a guy who is a complete nut job only makes it better.
It's a subliminal message that HHH's and John Cena's wrestling skills stink ...
